A few finds

Some of you might recognise the source of my new earrings. I bought these from blogger and maker Maartje at Silly Old Suitcase, my first ever Etsy purchase! My cute parcel arrived from the Netherlands yesterday, having taken only a couple of days to get here.

The earrings are so pretty, and in my favourite colours. So thank you Maartje for a beautiful item. I am now eyeing up those bracelets in juicy fruit colours!
I have also been out buying this week at an antiques fair. It so happened that I was working just down the road from Newark Antiques Fair yesterday. I could not resist paying a flying visit as it was a bright and dry morning. 

I didn't have much to spend, I just wanted to wander among the old things. For me, this is just a great way to zone out for a short time. I did find a few bits and pieces. This old sign:

I have wanted a sign with 'chocolate' on it for a long time, but they're usually too expensive. This one was weathered and a bit rusty, so it cost less, but I still love it. I think I probably need to stop buying signs now though. There is a lot of writing on the walls at home now, and I don't want the house to start resembling someone with too many tattoos!

The green jug was £5 and the fabric scraps a bargain too. And finally, from the bottom of a collapsing cardboard box on a junk stall....

I found something else, too, but I'll share that another day.
