GIVEAWAY TIME!

It is so grey and gloomy outside today, that I felt it was time for something cheering. A GiVeAwAy!
I have put together a few small items from my collections:

* a bundle of vintage fabrics for patchworking or any crafts
* a tiny pincushion in a vintage madeleine tin
* a selection of old mother of pearl buttons
* some home made patchwork baubles for your tree (or branch)
plus a couple of surprises....

All you have to do is to become a follower, if you're not already, and leave me a comment telling me your favourite style era (1930s, 1950s, Edwardian etc). I'll put all the names in a hat on Saturday December 1st and draw a winner.

GOOD LUCK WITH THE GIVEAWAY.....

  10. What lovely things for your giveaway. Please pop my name in your hat - I have been a follower for a while now. I have always been drawn to the elegant Edwardian period and used to dress in white lacy petticoats and frilly blouses. That had to stop when I had my sons! Karen x

My favourite era is the 1940s, there is something so wonderful about the whole 'Make do and mend' mentality! I think it still exists within the crafters of today, as if it were passed down the generations :D Thank you for reading. xx

  13. hi- just came over to say thanks for your comment re eBay...nowt as strange as some folk is there?!

I really enjoyed reading your last post as a friend commented recently that she need never come and see me at a fair cos my front room always contains the "en route" version.

Sad to say she's too right and I often feel my home is simply a selling day in transit but what's to be done when space is at such a premium and it's stock that brings in the ££s, not a clear tabletop?

It's such a lovely moment tho when all is cleared, back in it's respective sheds and workrooms and you can revel in why you furnished that room as you did!

Have a good w.e and hope to catch up again

    1. Hi, thanks for popping over.
I always, always take too much stock to sales. Maybe judging the right amount to take is something that comes with experience, I don't know, but I haven't got that right yet!!

  14. Dear Fiona
I am a new follower and would love to be entered into your giveaway, please. It is really difficult to choose a favourite era as I like elements of so many! The elegance and sophistication of Regency, the patterns of Victorian, the style of the 1920s, the dresses of the 1950s, the pearl jewellery of the Renaissance and the fabrics of the 1750s to 1790s. That list is probably much too greedy!
    Best wishes
    Ellie

  17. I've been reading your blog for a little while, but have just become a follower It is very difficult to choose a favourite era, but I think maybe it would have to be the fifties as the streamlined designs would fit more readily into our modern house.
