Come outside

A window of opportunity presented itself today. Magazine finished for June and proofs signed off. Sunny day. Husband away. One son at school and the other in an exam. Time to pop outside and do some potting up. Had a lovely afternoon filling my tubs and containers. I am no gardener, but I do try...and I've got a gorgeous display of alliums this year, too. I love these plants with their pom pom heads (and have Foxtail Lilly to thank for introducing me to them).

  1. Lovely post, and thank you for following me! Claire xxx

  2. Your alliums look lovely. How lovely to have the time, and sunshine, to get outside and potter

  3. Yes, doesn't often happen, which is probably why it feels so good!

  4. What a lush and lovely garden, and I really enjoyed myself going through your Sunday post, "That's Better". The journey was a delight and I especially liked the photo of the old gypsy wagon. If there is such a thing as having a past life; I think I might have been a gypsy. I love the charm of what I fantasize the gypsy life was like. Beautiful mandolin music and dancing in the moonlight. I am your newest follower, please accept my warm and humble invitation to visit and hopefully to follow me, too. Connie :)

  5. Hi Connie
Thanks for joining me and becoming follower no. 50! Pleased to have you along.
I was very taken with that wagon, too. It just looks so peaceful sitting in the middle of a meadow. I will pop over to your blog and have a look this evening.

  6. Hello!
    Yes it's lovely to putter!
    Your garden looks lovely!
    My Alliums are bloomimg too!
Yesterday I took my flip flops off and grounded my toes in the warm grass..
Loved the post on your sweet bears!

  7. Thank you. I am so happy that the weather looks set to continue into the weekend, too. Enjoy it!

  8. Your alliums look wonderful. I was admiring some in a local park this week. I must try growing some next year.

  9. They are very easy and seem to be hardy. I planted the bulbs in October a few years ago and they just keep on coming up.
